The death has occurred of Charlie Cannon, Doonan, peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital. Remains reposing at his late residence from 7pm to 10:00pm today and from 11am to 10pm tomorrow, Tuesday. Removal to St Mary’s Church, Killymard at 10:15am Wednesday for Funeral Mass at 11:00am with interment immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery. House private on morning of the funeral, please.


Margaret McNelis – 25 September

Peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital. Remains reposing at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sanfields, Ardara, this evening from 6pm to 9pm with removal at 9pm to her late residence at Fr McDyer Terrace, Glencolmcille. House private tomorrow (Tuesday) with family time only. Removal on Wednesday morning to St Columba’s Church, Glencolmcille for 11am Funeral Mass with  burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Remains currently reposing at her residence. Removal from her residence on Friday at 11:30am for funeral mass in St. Cartha’s Church, Kilcar at 12 noon with burial afterwards at Kilcar cemetery. House private from 11pm to 11am.


Eamonn Molloy – 4 September
Meenaneary, Carrick

Peacefully at Harbour Lights Nursing Home, Killybegs. Sadly missed by his sisters Noirín, Máire and Patsy (Glenties) and his brother Seán (England), nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Remains will be arriving at his home in Meenaneary this evening, Monday at 6pm. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church, Meenaneary on Wednesday at 11am with burial afterwards in Carrick Cemetery. House private please from 11pm to 10am on both nights.


Evelyn Gillespie – 30 August
Creeveen, Carrick

The death has occurred in Chicago, USA of Evelyn Gillespie, formerly of Creenveen, Carrick, Co Donegal. Sadly missed by her sister, Sheila McGonigle, Inishowen, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Her Ashes will arrive at St. Columba's Church, Carrick on Sunday 3rd September for 11 o'clock Funeral Mass with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.


Vera Herron (née McNeils) – 23 August

Peacefully at Killybegs Community Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Brian, Ardara. Reposing at her daughter Louise's home in Kilcar, from tomorrow, Thursday, 11am. Removal to St Cartha's Church, Kilcar, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Saturday, 29th July, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. House private tonight (Wednesday) and from 11pm-11am on Thursday and Friday night.

Margaret Kennedy (nee Molloy) – 15 July

Age 87, passed away peacefully at her home, Meenaneary, Carrick, Co Donegal, yesterday Saturday 15th July. Predeceased by her husband Francis and survived by her family, Seamus, Bernard, Mary, Anna, Proinsias, Oliver, her sister Ann Wilmington, Delaware, USA, her sisters-in-law Mary A Molloy, Meenacharvey, Annie Molloy England, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Reposing at her home on Sunday and Monday. Funeral Mass at St Patrick's Church, Meenaneary, on Tuesday at 12 noon (18th July). Burial afterwards at St Columba's Cemetery, Carrick.

Patrick C. Cunningham – 24 May

The peaceful death has occurred on Wednesday 24th May 2017 of the late Patrick C. Cunningham, Glencar Scotch, Letterkenny and formerly of Carrick, Co. Donegal. Beloved husband of the late Sarah and devoted father of sons Michael, Aidan and Derek.

Brígid Kelly (née McNally) – 4 May

The death has occurred in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England, and formerly Carrick Road, Kilcar of Seamus Doherty. Beloved husband of Annette, much loved father of Aidan, Emer,and Orla, cherished brother of Máire Gildea (St.Albans), Caitlín Hegarty ,(Luton), Michael (St.Albans), Donal (Headford), Gerard (Ballybofey), Ursula Molloy (Breenagh, Letterkenny). Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, brothers in law, sisters in law, extended family circle, and to his many friends in Beaconsfield, England and Kilcar.

James Charles (Jimmy) McShane – 13 March

The death has occurred of Jimmy McShane, Convent Road, Letterkenny, formerly of Bogagh, Kilcar, Co. Donegal, retired County Engineer. Predeceased by his son Seamus (Sheamy), deeply regretted by his loving wife Mairead nee McDonagh (Galway), loving father of Sinead Walsh (Kilkenny) and husband Paul, son Eoin (California) and wife Ashley, daughter Una Phelan (Tralee) and husband Zac, grandchildren, in-laws, relatives and friends.

 

Jimmy’s remains will repose at his late home from 7pm this evening, Tuesday, 14th March. Funeral from there on Thursday 16th March, going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for 10am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the family plot at Conwal Cemetery.

 

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Donegal Hospice c/o Paschal Blake Funeral Directors, Stoney Arch, New Line Road, Letterkenny.
